iPod won’t sync videos?

I’ve tried several different videos (all mp4) and none of them appear to be syncing onto my iPod Touch. There’s a gig of space left on my iPod and the video I initially tried to get into my iPod is just under 600mb. (The vid is specially formatted for iPods and other handhelds.)

After that didn’t work, I tried syncing a very small mp4 file and it didn’t sync either.
Has anyone has this issue with their own iPod Touch? Any ideas on what to do to fix it? Any help is appreciated.
