This GPS will have to play mp3s. I want to replace my iPod for a gps system that does both because having a single GPS AND and iPod is too messy.

-I know a Dell Axim is chepear but it doesn’t have 4GB like Life Drive has. I could buy two 2GB SD cards for Axim and also have 4GB.

I have unlimited data plan on my phone. I am willing to buy any software allowing me to use GPS navigation on my phone utilizing my data plan. However I am not aware of any software of that kind. (I don’t want to buy a GPS receiver)

Examples being; Ipods, cell phones, video games, handhelds, pda’s, etc. If you have any resource links to research studies on this topic would be helpful. What I don’t get is say if you have a cell phone that both has functions of music, camera, internet etc. Why would you get an ipod or ipod touch, then turn around and purchase a small digital camera, then go buy a pda; only to turn around and breakout your laptop to sync all information into these devices, makes no sense to me when they all overlap each other functionality wise. Perhaps someone can shed some knowledge on this trend. Also I do realize places such as Japan and China use much more personal electronics than say Americans but I’m just intrigued with American consumption. And for those who question me all I have is laptop and prepaid cell, I don’t have TV or any other electronic gadgets. Lastly I’m not bashing on electronic gadgets I think some of them are useful.
