I was wondering if anyone knows of any GPS devices that can tell you in real-time during emergencies and/or disasters where the safe evacuation routes and emergency shelters are located?

Thanks!

Is there an advantage, other than probably cost, to having the GPS satellites at 12,000 miles rather than in geostationary orbit? Would it work either way?

I want to buy a GPS and the intial cost isn’t a problem for me. But are there a lot of “upkeep costs” like buying updates and maps and such. Is there a GPS out there that is a one-time cost deal with free upgrades?

Which E3 conference do you think was the best?

Braxton J Carter asked:

Out of Microsoft’s, Sony’s and Nintendo which conference do you think was the best. ( This is CONSOLES, not handhelds by the way..)

I didn’t watch ALL of each conference I just watched the main parts of each.

I noticed Micorosft and Sony are bringing Motion sensing to their consoles. ( “copy-cats”) how ever Microsoft’s seem to be the best Motion sensor ( Project Natal). Mainly because you do not need any controller what so ever, just your body, the navigation through dashboard with your hands, and voice detection and face detection.

Overall I really wasn’t impressed by Nintendo’s. I didn’t see anything ” new”

I didn’t look at all the games of all consoles but I did see MAG and God of War 3. ( I was looking forward to seeing MAG). MAG looked great and God of War was well wow. bloody… Uncharted 2 was good as well..

When It came to games I think Sony won but I read that their conference started to be boring because they gave sales numbers that no one cared about really. ( they wanted games).

I do like Micosoft’s new ” Project Natal”. Oh and the new Facebook integration as well as Last FM.

Overall I think Sony and Microsoft did great jobs but I personally like Microsoft’s the best.

I do not own any next gen console but played each for a bit.

Which conference do you think was best?

If you didn’t see them go to IGN.com. You’ll find them there.,
I can see what your saying DevilR….

I just thought *overall* Microsoft did a good job because it atleast looked like a better motion sensor. The guy had trouble hitting a ball ( I noticed that). And What the creator of Fable said was true. With Milo everyone who did it bent down to pick up the goggles. Someone on G4TV said that they did as well. And that when this Girl walked into her living room and stood infront of the tv, it recognized her face and logged her in. And she used voice commands to talk to this other *****..It also seemed like they were able to integrate into it’s dashboard..

And then what I thought made it win *overall* was because they announced Facebook, and Last FM. radio…. ( additions to the Live ). I think sony just talked about make . “home” better..
